This pattern was constructed from overlapping concentric circles.  To obtain more variety in the shapes in the pattern, some of the adjacent regions were merged and painted with the same color.  This piece uses the six basic hues of the color wheel, plus intermediates such as yellow-green, blue-green, and magenta.
